Welcome to Candy Floss Children Photography. My cozy home based studio is the perfect setting for newborn and children portraits. The studio is professionally equipped to provide you with only the best in baby photography and children portraiture. All I ask of parents is to relax on the couch and enjoy some refreshments, while I carefully pose your child. The studio is stocked with beautiful blankets, wraps and knit accessories for newborn sessions, as well as costumes and choice of backgrounds for children portrait sessions. A comfortable and intimate setting to capture this once in a lifetime experience for your family in the most beautiful way.
Newborn Sessions
During your Newborn Baby Session I will focus on creating portraits that capture all the beauty, fragility and newness of your baby’s delicate skin, tiny fingernails, soft downy hair, tiny toes, chubby cheeks, little legs and those baby yawns which make newborn baby photographs so adorable. I will pose your baby in those womb-like curly positions that only newborns can do. I take time to pose and photograph your baby with great care and safety in mind always. Newborn sessions focus mainly on the baby, but I will include Mom and Dad for some intimate concepts. If you have any older children, I will discuss the best way to incorporate siblings to keep the session experience calm and enjoyable.
To customise your session I offer lots of options from my wonderful range of props. Handmade accessories include beautiful hats, headbands, wraps, rompers, blankets and layers, as well as using custom made vintage baskets, wooden bowls and tiny beds.
I photograph newborns between 5-14 days old, later for preemies. During your 3-4 hours photo session, you can relax knowing there is ample time for breaks, feeds, a change, or a nap. I even have wifi for Dad’s too! I recommend parents bring along several extra feeds for baby and for yourself. The studio is warm, it’s best to wear layers.
Newborn safety and comfort is always my top priority and I am proud member of BANPAS – The British association of newborn Photographers.
The Baby and Newborn Photography Association is a specialist organisation promoting safe baby and newborn photography. BANPAS insist upon safe working practices and all photographers are fully insured and sign up to the BANPAS code of conduct. All BANPAS photographers have been assessed to be of a professional standard and are appropriately skilled working with babies.
